Hoy mi gordita se levanto diciendo que quería usar los calzoncitos que le regaló la Tita. Así que yo le dije que podía hacerlo siempre y cuando fuera al baño cuando yo le dijera que era hora de ir. Así que me puse manos a la obra, y configuré mi celular para que sonara cada media hora. Teníamos que hacer varias vueltas incluyendo su clase de los viernes. Parando cada media hora en el baño. En una de esas paradas despues de haber ido al baño estabamos en la oficina de correos y ella me indicó que era hora de ir al baño aún cuando no había pasado la media hora todavía. Así que usé mi inhodoro portátil y ella lo hizo ahí también sin problema. Inclusive, hizo de lo otro en una de las idas.
Ella estaba muy contenta y muy orgullosa de sí misma, dijo que ella estaba haciendo lo que sus primitos Santi y Dani hacen. También estaba ansiosa por ver lo orgullosos que se iban a poner su papa y su nana. Fue muy bonito verla tan contenta y orgullosa. y por supuesto la mami también estaba muy orgullosa de su bebé!!!!
Ahora, ella todavía usa pañales para ir a dormir porque todavía le estamos dando tetero de noche para dormir y en la tarde cuando va a su siesta. Ahora falta esperar a que nos diga cuando ya no quiera tomar tetero. Su hermana mayor nos dijo después de haber cumplido los 3 años, exactamente después del fin de semana de Acción de Gracias, cuando decidió por sí sola que no quería tomar mas teteros. Ahí fue cuando ella dejo de ponerse pañales para dormir. Aunque tuvimos varios accidentes por un año completo. Así que hemos de esperar que G también se comporte de la misma manera.
Today our little one decided she wanted to use the panties her Tita had given her, she really insisted! So, I told her she could do it as long as she would go to the potty anytime I asked her to do so (I tried to potty trained her on the week we were in McAllen, but we failed). I set my cel alarm to ring every half hour and even though we had a lot of errands to run I was consistent and she just did it. In between every half hour we run our errands including going to her Friday class, we went to the (-mama's) doctor's office and it was ok, because there was a bathroom we could drop by, we had to go to the post office also, and in the middle of it before her 30 mins alarm she told me she had to go potty and fortunately I had my travel potty with me, we went to an empty area and she went into her potty. I was very proud!!!
She was very happy and proud of herself and she even mentioned that she was doing exactly as her cousins Santi and Dani do. She was very excited to see the reactions of her papa and her nana (sis). It was very nice to see her as happy and proud of herself. Her mama was very proud of her baby as well, indeed!!!
She is semi-potty trained because she still takes a bottle to nap and to go to bed as well, but it is a relief that we have progressed a bit on this subject. Her nana was semi-potty trained at this age as well, and she gave us the cue of letting the bottle go after she was 3 years old, exactly after Thanksgiving weekend, she told us she did not want to take a bottle anymore. Of course we had many accidents afterwards for at least a year, but that was when all started. All we have to do now is wait until G is comfortable enough to let us know she does not want to take the bottle to go to bed anymore!!! Can't wait!!!
